AFRICA WILDLIFE PHOTO SAFARI JULY 2014scroll 'next' for all photos

The Maasai have villages scattered across the land. They are semi-nomadic for the most part, following the rains in established territories. The animals are released from a predator-secure area each morning and taken out to allow for grazing during the day. Vehicles whiz by inches from their heads as they feed along the roadways. There is always at least one human tending the herd, and often, it is a small child. Unlike the States, if you hit and kill a Maasai animal, you must pay for it. Here... you could probably sue the owner of the animal for damages to your vehicle.
