'The Ties that Bind' was chosen for the Region III Award for the Top 100 Arts for the Parks National Competition. Over 2000 entries are received each year for participants all over the world, with the top 100 paintings chosen for a 12 month national tour.
The entries depict our National Parks and are juried to have approximately 33 paintings representing three regions. One painting is chosen best overall for each of the three regions, as well as the Grand Prize painting for the entire competition. The top painting carries a $50,000 purse.
